Laurence Howe has always had a keen interest in mathematics and
physics and, in particular, in understanding the basic building blocks
of nature. It was this interest which drove him to study mathematics
and physics later in life and gain a first class honours degree. He
then went on to succeed with a PhD involving neutron scattering and
computer modelling. When he applied for his PhD studies he wrote that
he wanted to make a real contribution to the understanding of physical
science. The physics section of this website reflects his continuing
interest in coming to terms with the incompatibilities of Relativity
and Quantum Mechanics.
Laurence Howe is a member of the
Institute of Physics. |
