The VEDENS traffic modelling pages have been introduced to this website as a means of bringing them to the attention of planners, designers and developers with an interest in vehicle and traffic-related issues. With the increasing emphasis on safety and the environment, this type of modelling is becoming more attractive because of its flexibility. For example, it can be used as a test bed for safety related driver warning devices. A step further along that road brings the possibility of the driverless vehicle.
